Bathroom Remodeling Built on a Foundation of Proper Waterproofing and Precision Craftsmanship
A bathroom renovation is only as good as what's done before the first tile goes up — and that's where most contractors cut corners. We don't.
Full-Service Bathroom Renovation — Chicago & Chicagoland
At Inno Decor Solutions, we take on bathroom remodeling projects across Chicago and the Chicagoland suburbs with a single non-negotiable standard: every phase, from substrate preparation through final silicone seal, must be done correctly. That means professional-grade waterproofing membranes applied to every wet area before tile work begins. It means back-buttering tile for full-surface adhesion. It means grouting with precision and sealing every corner and movement joint with high-performance silicone — the small details that determine whether your bathroom remains beautiful and trouble-free for a decade or starts showing problems within a few years. We handle every element of your bathroom renovation in-house: demolition, waterproofing, tile and flooring installation, vanity and fixture work, and painting. One team, one standard, consistent results.

How We Approach Every Bathroom Remodel
1. Thorough Assessment & Planning
Every project begins with an on-site evaluation. We examine the existing substrate, plumbing layout, and structural conditions before recommending materials or finalizing a scope of work. We don't quote until we understand exactly what we're working with — and we don't start until we've aligned fully with your vision and budget.
2. Demolition & Substrate Preparation
Proper preparation is the foundation of a lasting result. We remove all existing tile, fixtures, and materials, then carefully assess and prepare the substrate beneath. Any compromised boards, backer, or framing are addressed before we proceed. A flat, structurally sound surface is the prerequisite for everything that follows.
3. Professional Waterproofing
This is the most critical phase of any bathroom renovation — and the one most often underestimated by contractors focused on speed. We apply high-performance waterproof membranes to all shower walls, floor pans, and wet area transitions. Seams, corners, and drains receive specialized treatment to eliminate every potential entry point for moisture. Waterproofing is not a single product — it is a system, and we install it as one
4. Tile Installation
With a properly prepared and waterproofed substrate, tile installation becomes a precise exercise in alignment, spacing, and material knowledge. Our team works with ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, marble, mosaic, and large-format tiles. We use professional-grade thin-set and back-buttering techniques to ensure full contact and a bond that won't crack or fail over time. Grout joint consistency and tile levelness are maintained throughout — not just in the areas that are easy to see.
5. Grouting, Sealing & Final Finishing
Once tile is set, we grout with care and consistency. In high-moisture areas, we offer epoxy grout — significantly more resistant to staining, mold, and moisture penetration than standard cement-based grout. All corners, transitions, and movement joints receive high-quality silicone sealant applied cleanly and precisely. This final layer of protection is what separates a bathroom that holds up from one that begins showing failures within a few years.
6. Vanity, Fixtures & Paint
Bathroom remodeling extends beyond the tile. We coordinate vanity installation, fixture placement, and painting to complete the transformation. Our goal is a finished space where every element looks like it belongs — because it was installed with the same level of attention as the tile work.

Large-Format Tile Installation — A Specialty Requiring Real Expertise
Large-format tiles — those exceeding 24 inches on one side — are among the most popular choices in contemporary bathroom design. Their appeal is well-founded: fewer grout lines create a cleaner, more expansive visual field, and the larger surface area is genuinely easier to maintain. But their installation is unforgiving. Any inconsistency in substrate flatness is magnified. Lippage — the variation in tile edge height from one tile to the next — becomes immediately visible.
Our team specializes in large-format tile installation precisely because we invest in proper substrate preparation. We use precision leveling systems and take the time required to achieve the flat, seamless result that large-format tile demands. The outcome is a finished surface that looks as deliberate as the material deserves.
Epoxy Grout — The Professional Standard for Showers and High-Moisture Areas
Standard cement-based grout is porous. Over time, it absorbs moisture, discolors, and becomes a surface where mold and mildew can establish. In a shower environment — where the grout is wet daily — this is not a minor inconvenience. It is an accelerating problem.
Epoxy grout is non-porous by composition. It does not absorb water, does not stain, and does not support mold growth. Its bond strength is significantly higher than cement grout, and its color remains stable over years of use. We recommend and offer epoxy grout for all shower installations and high-moisture floor areas, and we apply it with the same precision we bring to every other element of the project.
